The No. 3 overall scorer is averaging 116 this season but is in just 6.7 per cent of teams — expect that to be higher come Friday night lockout.
Fellow midfielders Lachie Neale (8.5 per cent) and Bryce Gibbs (2 per cent) are also top-10 scorers this season and will separate you from pack in the run home.
Neale and Gibbs are both averaging 111 so far.
If you’re looking for reliable, unique options look no further than Mitch Duncan, who’s averaging 107, but gets lost behind Patrick Dangerfield and Selwood, and is in only 1.3 per cent of teams.
St Kilda star Seb Ross is one of the AFL’s most in-form midfielders and a puny 1755 (0.9 per cent) teams are enjoying his output.
It’s not just in the midfield where unique options are available.
Michael Hurley (5.6 per cent) and Dylan Roberton (8.4 per cent) are both top-10 defenders averaging 100 and 97 points respectively.
With the number of “cookie cutter” backlines this year (eg. Docherty, Laird, Adams, Shaw, Newman and Hibberd), having a point of difference is crucial.
The forward line is a little trickier with inconsistent key forwards Jeremy Cameron and Charlie Dixon in a small number of teams but major risks for the business end of the season.
