Former Melbourne star Jack Watts says the Demons can win back-to-back flags for the first time since the 1950s, but the key to success might not be on the field.
The Dees tuned up for finals with a 58-point thumping of top-four contender Brisbane and have all their guns firing.
Watts said the club would be doing everything possible to keep players focused on their chance to make history.

Watts said he was barracking for close friend Max Gawn to claim a second premiership as captain.
“Going from stealing a couple of pennies from the Dominos register to have a punt on the horses to on a Saturday to buying a $5 million house in Glen Iris, he’s certainly done a pretty good job,” Watts said.
“He’s just always had that dogged determination. He loves working hard, he loves a bit of limelight and that almost forces him to go the extra mile because he wants to be the best he can be every single week.
“Once he figured it out it was sort of a no-brainer that he was going to get there, but early days I think he had three knee recos, it was a long journey for him and at that point you don’t know where it’s going to go – one more and it could be all over.”
In the final episode for 2022, Watts and host Lauren Wood also dissected the All-Australian team, discussed what’s next for Carlton, previewed the new AFLW season and gave all their finals predictions.
