Is Carlton the most watchable team in the competition right now?

Herald Sun journalist Jay Clark believes the Blues are right up there, and he views them as a genuine grand final shot along with Melbourne.

He said on the latest episode of KFC SuperFooty TV that Carlton’s talent profile marries up with reigning premiers Melbourne, with both possessing A-Graders in key areas of the ground.

“They win the ball out of the middle and then they kick goals when they go forward, they play that territory game,” Clark said.

“When you look at the A-graders (they’ve) got Curnow, McKay, (they’ve) Cripps and Walsh, Hewett — Hewett is an A-grader for mine, Cerra very close and Jacob Weitering.

“That almost matches Melbourne – Oliver, Petracca, Fritsch, May, Lever etc.

“If that’s going to be the grand final, they’re almost the best team to watch for me. Fremantle were very defensive and the dam wall held up in the first half, but watching them in over the footy, they’ve got tricks forward.

“I reckon they’re just a great team to watch.”

Clark, Lauren Wood and Jack Watts also discuss St Kilda’s drop off in form, how Geelong will cover the loss of Tom Stewart and more.
