KFC SuperFooty TV: Jay Clark and Jack Watts look at the big issues in the AFL before round 19

Essendon is still a mathematical hope of playing finals in 2022, but even the most diehard Bombers fan would admit that’s unlikely.
But a fast finish to this season could provide a springboard for next year – and the Dons have a young star forward to build the next premiership team around.
Former Melbourne and Port Adelaide star Jack Watts said 21-year-old Harrison Jones was “silk” while Herald Sun reporter Jay Clark declared he “looks like a young Nick Riewoldt” with his athleticism in the forward half.

Speaking on a new episode of KFC SuperFooty TV, Watts said he was impressed by how the Bombers had fought back this year after a 2-10 start, defeating St Kilda, Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast since round 14.
“It’s easy as a team if you’ve lost a fair few early and you’re out of the finals race to chuck it in. To see a team respond the way they have, even when they didn’t have a lot to play for (is impressive),” Watts said.
“I love the way they play ... and Harry Jones, he’s just silk. There’s a lot to like about the Bombers.”
He also backed Dyson Heppell to win a new contract. The 30-year-old skipper is currently without a deal for next season.
“To go through what he’s gone through and leading the club the way he has .. you’d want to show him a little bit of respect,” Watts said.
Also on this week’s episode, Clark and Watts ask if the Saints are soft and if the Tigers have another shot at a flag left in the tank, plus all their tips for round 19.
