A Sydney Swans star has been dragged over the coals by football fans after producing the worst two-minute stretch you’ll see this season.

Peter Ladhams will be looking for the nearest cave to hide in after producing arguably the worst two minute stretch you’re likely to see this season.

As Port Adelaide began to tighten its grip on the contest against the Sydney Swans, Ladhams gifted the Power – his former side – two goals in the space of two minutes.

Sam Powell-Pepper accepted the first free kick from the top of the goalsquare after Ladhams tossed a Port player to the ground well off the ball.

Moments later the big man was back in the thick of the action as he slammed Ollie Wines to the deck in the middle of the ground.

A free kick was paid and as the ball sailed inside 50 Ladhams threw a right hand into the midsection of Wines resulting in a downfield free kick.

The ball ended in the hands of Charlie Dixon who went back and slotted the goal. Ladhams was immediately dispatched to the bench.

As the footage of the incident was replayed, Fox Footy’s Jordan Lewis was left dumbfounded and said the big man can expect a stint on the sidelines.

“That is just a brain explosion,” he said.

“If I’m Ladhams, I’m volunteering to find my own way to the airport … I don’t even want to be on the same bus as John Longmire” – Jimmy Bartel said on 3AW.

“Pray for Peter Ladhams when John Longmire gets to him,” The Age journalist Andrew Wu tweeted.

“Have a holiday Ladhams. That was woeful,” The Advocate’s Alex Fair wrote.

As the fourth quarter was about to get underway the Fox Footy commentary team looked back through the footage with Gerard Healy blasting the big man’s actions.

“It can be intimidating experience playing against your old side, but there’s no excuse for that nonsense,” Healy said.

“He’d had a bad day or he’d had a bad 10 minutes, but to turn around and put yourself out of contention for at least a week, maybe two, is a brain fade and I think that's being generous.”

Port Adelaide began to pull away in the third quarter and when they put the foot down, Sydney couldn’t respond.

A six-goal to one quarter was the difference as the Power went on to record a 12.10 (82) to 8.11 (59) victory and keep their season alive.
