Perth Airport blocks light-hearted Eagles sledge billboards

IT WAS all supposed to be a bit of fun — some Herald Sun billboards to stir up Eagles fans starting their journey to the home of football for the Grand Final. Perth Airport wasn’t having a bar of it, but WCE supporters won’t escape that easily.

A LIGHT-HEARTED sledging campaign has been blocked by Perth Airport.

The Herald Sun had created some fun billboards to stir up Eagles fans as they started their journey to Melbourne for tomorrow’s grand final.

As you can see it was a bit of fun but the agency responsible for placing them got some interesting feedback from Perth Airport.

They initially wanted some wording changed which was done but then came back and said they wouldn’t approve them being put up because of their “relationship” with West Coast.

But Eagles fans won’t escape that easily.

When they touch down in Melbourne the signs will be waiting for them at the Qantas arrival area and then they won’t miss them on their cab ride into town either with two on overpasses along the Tullamarine Freeway.
