COLLINGWOOD veteran Alan Didak made a fast start to his return to senior footy picking up five disposals in a third quarter burst at the Gabba.
Starting as the substitute, Didak came on midway through the third term replacing Nick Maxwell (hamstring soreness).
The Lions made their change after the main break with Sam Docherty replacing hard-nosed midfielder Brent Moloney.
Brisbane turned up the heat on Collingwood during an even third term which saw both sides kick three goals.
The Magpies squandered a number of opportunities kicking seven behinds in the term.
Dane Swan continued his dominance racking 27 disposals and two goals to the final change.
Meanwhile, Paul Seedsman is putting together one of his best games collecting 21 disposals and seven marks for 108 SuperCoach points.

COLLINGWOOD was relentless in the second quarter setting up a XY-point lead at the main break.
Defender Ben Reid ignited the Pies with second goal before Andrew Krakouer found Kyle Martin in the goalsquare for the Magpies second.
VFL product Martin has made a strong start collecting XY disposals including XY clearances on debut.
But the form of Scott Pendlebury and Dane Swan was the story of the half running amok - as if unchecked - with a combined 36 disposals.

Pendlebury was the pick of the two operating at 78 per cent efficiency for his 18 disposals.
Brisbane kicked its first goal of the second quarter with 90 seconds left in the term when Ash McGrath marked on the lead.
The 198-game veteran made no mistake with his set shot 45m out on a slight angle.

COLLINGWOOD was quick to put a dampener on Brisbane's premiership three-peat celebrations kicking the first three goals to silence the Lions faithful.
Jamie Elliott was the first to strike taking a strong mark on the lead before making no mistake with the set shot.
Ruckman Darren Jolly then found space about 45m from home on a slight angle for the Magpies second major.
Magpies defender added Ben Reid rubbed salt to the Lions wounds when he split the middle from outside-50 midway through the term.
Collingwood dominated the first quarter leading inside-50s 17-5, clearances 13-3 and disposals 101-56.
Elliott kicked his second goal late in the quarter to tighten the Magpies grip on the match.
Josh Thomas made matters worse for the Lions when he strolled in to kick his first in the shadows of quarter time.
Earlier, the Lions celebrated their victorious 2001-03 seasons with the premiership cups on display on the Gabba turf.

Collingwood will be without spearhead Travis Cloke (virus) for tonight's match against Brisbane at the Gabba.
Rebounding defender Marty Clarke is his replacement with Magpie veteran Alan Didak named as the substitute.
