CARLTON midfielder Shaun Grigg has told the Blues he is committed to a move to Richmond.
Although Grigg requested a trade before leaving for a holiday in Thailand, the Blues have held out hope of talking him into staying at the club when he returns this week.
But his manager Alex McDonald said Grigg is looking forward to starting a new career at Punt Rd.
"He spoke to both the coach (Brett Ratten) and to Steven Icke last week and told them that he wanted to go to Richmond," McDonald told the AFL website.
"Unless Shaun advises me otherwise, nothing's changed. At this stage he's 100 per cent committed to Richmond."
The Tigers are believed to have offered Grigg a deal worth about $900,000 over three years.
Meanwhile, a deal to send Richard Tambling to Adelaide in return for the Crows' compensation pick from the Gold Coast is repotedly close to completion.
Carlton's Andrew Walker and Sam Jacobs are still trying to find their way to the Crows.
