Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley and American-born giant Mason Cox were beamed around the world on ESPN this morning, while back home the news has broken that Cox and his girlfriend have separated.
The Collingwood footy star and Collingwood netball champion Geva Mentor had been dating since late last year.
They parted ways before Cox suffered his serious eye injury which forced him to be sidelined for the Pies’ finals campaign.
There is said to be no hard feelings between the athletic pair.
Cox has spent some of the off-season on holiday in New Zealand and visiting family in the US.
Cox and Buckley were interviewed live on ESPN’s Sportscenter this morning ahead of the NFL game between Dallas and Philadelphia at the famous AT & T Stadium.

It comes not long after Essendon reportedly approached Collingwood about trading for the Cox.
Their chat with American hosts Phil Murphy and Mark Brown was beamed live around the world.
The Magpies favourites were in Dallas for the big game, with Cox returning home to visit friends and family.
The 28-year-old was born in Highland Village, a small suburb of Dallas.
Buckley and Cox were asked by Murphy, “what on earth are you guys doing at an NFL game?”.
Murphy then led his first question by sparing them the “Richmond Tigers fight song, I heard it a lot at the AFL grand final.”
But Buckley was finally asked about the Magpies’ plans to make amends for their heartbreaking preliminary final loss to GWS.
“We’ve got a really good squad, we’re happy with our boys, we’ve just got to stick to our task and finding improvement from within,” Buckley told Sportscenter.
Later next month Cox will host a Thanksgiving dinner in Melbourne for family and friends at TGI Fridays in Melbourne Central
