A mid-season encounter with the potential to stop one team’s season in its tracks awaits the Darwin Buffaloes and Wanderers in a big Friday night NTFL clash.
With the two sides sitting seventh and eight on the ladder respectively, a defeat in this Round 10 meeting could spell the end of finals aspirations.

WHY TO WATCH
The Double Blues survived a tough Palmerston fight back last weekend to achieve their first win since Round 2 and keep themselves in touch with the top five sides.
Their three wins to date have come against the bottom two but given the competitiveness of the top six those victories have kept them in touching distance.
Buffaloes were best served by youngster Tashaun Wright last time out, who showed both in his defensive work and an unexpected goal that he will be one to watch.
For him the likes of tried and trusted veterans of the side Jarrod Stokes and Bradley Stokes have inspired him to play in a way he enjoys.
“There’s some really inspiring guys in this group such as Jarrod and Bradley Stokes who give us younger guys advice and inspire me to play the way I do,” Wright said following the Palmerston game.
“It’s really good for us to get back on the winner’s list, we all feel we’ve really improved in the past couple of weeks since what happened against Saints.”
The focus now needs to be on building momentum and a rare fixture against another side below them on the ladder in Wanderers is a chance to score a second win on the bounce.
Though the Muk Muks won’t want to roll over in a match that for them is an important opportunity to get back on the winner’s list.
Frazer Bradley is a goal threat but the real powerhouse of this year’s Wanderers side is Cody Leggett and should he pull off some midfield dominance the rest of the team may well come along too.
