The developer behind a celebrity-studded St Kilda project has revealed the unusual requests being made for its future corridors of power.
Bizarre hidden rooms, a gym in a bathroom and a “sculptural shower” are among the features being sought in a building where spin king ex-cricketer Shane Warne and former footballer turned TV personality Sam Newman are understood to have bought a home.
Real estate and business guru Antony Catalano has also been linked to a $30m penthouse in the $540m Saint Moritz project by prominent developer Gurner.

The firm’s eponymous founder Tim Gurner refuses to name names.
But Mr Gurner has confirmed future residents will include “locals who have lived in St Kilda and owned a business there for decades”, business luminaries and “some incredible sporting personalities that bring a lot of colour to the building” — which he indicated would include multiple international cricketers.
He has also revealed one buyer requested a gym in their main bedroom’s ensuite, another opted for a “bath in a living room looking out” at the view and yet another has their heart set on a “sculptural shower”.
“(And) we have had a request for a 3mx3m room behind the wardrobe with a plaster wall,” Mr Gurner said.
“I have no idea why.
“But we have made sure that these will add value to the apartment, not devalue them.”
Shared luxuries mooted for the now sold out three-building complex include a book collection curated by the Queen’s librarian and a $1.5m glass cube welcome space.
With buyers spending between $1.8m and more than $30m on a set of keys at Saint Moritz, the development team has met with those moving in an average of 28 times each in order to finesse their future homes — which will begin to be turned over to buyers next year.
Despite the exorbitant prices, with an average $5.2m purchase price, 40 per cent of the buyers have been families.
