The cream of the crop of Melbourne’s high-end real estate market have been revealed, with the city’s top agents notching an average sale price of up to $10m in the past year.
Marshall White Stonnington director Marcus Chiminello had a whopping sales average of $10,384,040 after selling some of the priciest properties in town – including the record-breaking $80m sale of an unfinished mansion on St Georges Rd, Toorak, last year.
He also sold the state’s second priciest home at 17 St Georges Rd a week prior for a mega $70m, amassing more than $800m worth of sales in 12 months.

“That was a very surreal week in real estate,” Mr Chiminello said of the back-to-back deals.
“I still haven’t had the chance to stop and reflect on how rare that was, it was certainly a highlight.”
He added that the main drivers of his success was a discreet and honest approach to how he operated.
“I feel very blessed and fortunate to represent some of the best homes and some of the best people in Melbourne,” Mr Chiminello said.
“There’s no such thing as a typical day in real estate, it’s erratic hours and the industry provides you with inconsistencies, but also flexibility — if I need to step away for an hour to see my children perform at school, I can.
“It’s a juggling act but you work hard and holiday harder.”
Buxton Brighton director and auctioneer David Hart ranked second to Mr Chiminello with an $8.175m average for the year.
His top deals included the record-breaking sale of a beachfront Brighton mansion in November.
The 39 Seacombe Grove property once belonged to late 7-Eleven co-owner Beverley Barlow, and set a new benchmark for the blue chip bayside suburb when selling in excess of $30m.
Mr Hart, who has spent more than 30 years in real estate, said his experience was a key factor in securing some of Brighton’s best listings.
“There’s a lot of trust involved … but now I’m in a position where I can be more selective about who I work with,” he said.
RT Edgar Toorak agent Antoinette Nido came in third, with her typical properties selling for $7,384,814, per reporting to realestate.com.au.
Ms Nido recently sold a Toorak estate at 1 Whernside Ave in an off-market deal of about $34m, making it the highest sale price ever achieved by a female agent in Victoria.
In the same week in April, she also offloaded a former 47-room nursing home in the illustrious suburb at 33 Lansell Rd.
Named Darnlee, the heritage-listed property sold for an undisclosed sum understood to be within its $20m-$22m asking range.
“At the top level it’s all about credibility and results, people at that level are highly successful business people so it’s not a training ground,” Ms Nido said.
“It’s about relationships, service and having the right skill set too. I’m very dedicated to my clients and I’m a positive, can-do agent … but you have to back that up with high level negotiations and interpersonal skills.”
While Ms Nido has only worked as a real estate agent for less than five years, she said her background studying commerce and law and working as a tax director for Ernst & Young dealing with the “who’s who” of Melbourne gave her both the skills and contacts to deal with high-end real estate.
“Sometimes butting heads and having an ego is not conducive to getting over the finish line, it’s about bringing people together and listening to what they want and negotiating,” she added.
“I want to treat my clients in a way I would want to be treated since I’ve been a successful property investor in my own right.”
Ms Nido’s branch had three other agents in the top 10 rankings, including Chelsie Cargill, young gun Max Ruttner, and real estate fashion queen Sarah Case.
