Self-styled property guru and director of DG Institute Dominique Grubisa and her husband Kevin have sold their 1960sq m Turramurra estate Wedgewood Lodge in just 17 days.

The investment adviser has recently found herself in hot water, with the Australian Competition and Consumer Competition (ACCC) accusing her and DG Institute of making misleading claims in the marketing and sale of its products.

That case is still before the court.

Meanwhile, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) banned Grubisa from providing credit services for four years last April, after finding her company falsely claimed to hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and an Australian credit licence.

Grubisa is appealing the ban and was even due to appear at a range of seminars across the country to discuss strategies to find off-market distressed property deals, this month and last.

Despite the conflict in court, the pair has likely made a tidy profit on the grand home at 400 Bobbin Head Rd bought in 2004 for $1,301,000, according to records.

When the 1960sq m property hit the market at the end of June, the price guide was reportedly $4.7m through Century 21 Radar Properties agent Gary Ward, who was unavailable for comment.

Given the swift sale, however, the couple may have reached their desired ticket price.

Wedgewood Lodge was described in marketing material as “an oasis of peace and privacy” with a commanding presence and the “perfect blend of elegance and modern sophistication”.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom residence has a contemporary kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, as well as an outdoor kitchen, saltwater pool and a half basketball court.
