FRESH from his AFL Hall of Fame induction, former Melbourne star David Neitz has cooled off for a very worthy cause.
Melbourne Football Club co-captain Nathan Jones couldn’t resist dumping a bucket of ice over Neitz, who has turned his hand to brewing since hanging up his boots.
A portion of funds from the sales of his beer Brewmanity is donated to the Fight MND cause.
“It all started for me and a group of mates when we began to show interest in brewing beer,” Neitz said. “But the catalyst in taking that leap was a decision to use it as a platform for fundraising.
AFL COACHES TO TAKE THE PLUNGE FOR DANIHER
“We decided to fall into line behind the great man Neale Daniher and do our bit to raise funds and live our beer dream at the same time.”
The fight against MND is close to Neitz’s heart given he trained under Daniher, who is now fighting the disease. Since the beer brand launched they have raised more than $175,000.
An additional $1 from every six-pack of Brewmanity sold at First Choice Liquor will be donated to Fight MND
