Prince Andrew’s ex says Ghislaine Maxwell used her as ‘bait’ for Jeffrey Epstein

A documentary has dropped bombshells about Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement with Ghislaine Maxwell, with an ex revealing the disgraced socialite used her as “bait”.

Prince Andrew’s ex Lady Victoria Hervey claims that Ghislaine Maxwell used her as “bait to fish” for girls for paedo Jeffrey Epstein to abuse.

The 44-year-old socialite said Maxwell used her as “bait” to entertain Epstein’s friends and said the convicted paedo “kind of sat back and sort of waited for her to sort of go fishing” for girls.

Lady Victoria – who is the daughter of the 6th marquess of Bristol – told an ITV documentary that she met the pair 20 years ago and said she was “really young and naive” at the time.

In a clip released to the MailOnline ahead of tonight’s airing in Britain of the “Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile” documentary, Lady Victoria said Maxwell and Epstein were like “Batman and Robin” and were a “double act”.

She said: “Jeffrey was really the frontman and Ghislaine was the accomplice. It was kind of like a Batman and Robin, and they were a double act.

“I don’t think Jeffrey could have done any of it without Ghislaine.”

Presenter Ranvir Singh said: “And Ghislaine was crucial to getting those girls, was she, do you think to those dinners?”

Lady Victoria responded: “I think he just kind of sat back and sort of waited for her to sort of go fishing and go find however many girls were needed, you know, to entertain his friends. I think I was pretty much used as bait”.

ANDREW’S BIZARRE SOFT TOY REQUESTS

Hot on the heels of claims by a former royal protection officer that Prince Andrew may once have dated Ghislaine Maxwell come allegations of a peculiar bedroom obsession.

Prince Andrew ordered his staff to arrange five teddy bears and soft toys in specific positions on his bed every night it has been claimed.

A sketch shows how a teddy holding a heart, other cuddly toys and cushions with “Daddy”, “Ducks” and “Prince” on them should be arranged, The Sun reports.

The Duke, 61, would “scream and shout” if they were not in order at Buckingham Palace, according to a former royal cop Paul Page, who spoke to the TV documentary “Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile”.

A royal source who has seen the handwritten – and laminated – guide, titled “DOY bed: Points for turn down & making the bed” — said the list included two hippos and a black panther to be specially set out.

They said it tells staff a specific way of making his bed, including arranging three cushions called “Daddy”, “Ducks” and “Prince”.

The sketch shows precisely where to place his blankets, all five teddies and a fur — ordering that its ribbons must hang off his bed.

The revelation piles embarrassment on the Prince, with former royal protection officer Page also saying he may well have dated Maxwell, who has been found guilty of helping billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein abuse young girls.

Page claimed the disgraced socialite was constantly “in and out” of Buckingham Palace.

He said in the documentary that Maxwell had become a regular visitor from 2001, the year Prince Andrew and his Australian-based accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, were photographed in Maxwell’s London home.

“From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we realised — suspected — that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew,” Page told interviewers in the documentary, to air on Britain’s ITV on Tuesday.

“A colleague of mine remembered her coming in four times in one day. She kept coming in and out, in and out,” he said.

Euan Rellie, a friend of Maxwell’s since their days at Cambridge University, agreed.

“I got the sense that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine had probably been girlfriend and boyfriend in the past,” Mr Rellie told the documentary, according to the UK Telegraph.

“They had an easy warmth around each other,” he said.

Rellie recalled being invited to a dinner party at Epstein’s New York townhouse by Maxwell “for my friend Prince Andrew”.

“She described Andrew as being her friend, not Jeffrey’s,” he says.

The documentary also shows ITV’s Ranvir Singh calling a mobile number found among a number of contacts in Epstein and Maxwell’s ‘little black book’.

“Hello … I think this might be Prince Andrew,” the reporter said after hearing a voicemail message she said sounded just like the middle son of Queen Elizabeth II.

Page, who worked in the Royal Protection Command from 1998 to 2004, claimed he saw Andrew’s bed piled high with stuffed toys when he had access to his private apartment.

“It had about 50 or 60 stuffed toys positioned on the bed and basically there was a card the inspector showed us in a drawer and it was a picture of these bears all in situ,” he told the documentary makers.

“The reason for the laminated picture was if those bears weren’t put back in the right order by the maids, he would shout and scream.”

Staff wrote on the laminated guide: “When the DOY is staying overnight, place one small teddy & cushion in the turn down.

“When making the bed, place the teddy & cushion next to the teddy on the left-hand side with the necklaces on.”

Underneath, in capital letters, it stresses: “Do not loose (sic) the teddy & cushion!!”

The accompanying sketch shows a “teddy holding heart” must be placed on the left-hand side of the bed’s headboard.

The instructions say Andrew must have a grey hippo teddy on the right-hand side of the bed and a black panther halfway down.

Another hippo teddy must be placed on a green throw at the foot of the bed.

Royal biographer Angela Levin said: “The fact they (teddies) have to be in certain positions is almost like he has given them orders.

“It is hugely embarrassing as here is a man who flew helicopters in the Falklands War and was in the Royal Navy for more than twenty years and the country was very proud of him.

“Yet here is an incredible insecurity as he needs to have his teddies by his side. Perhaps he is very lonely.”

Prince Andrew declined to comment, ITV said.

MAXWELL TO REVEAL NAMES OF ‘8 JOHN DOES’

It comes as Maxwell gave up her fight to hide the identity of eight men who allegedly had sex with young women lured by her and billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell was last month found guilty of helping Epstein sexually abuse young girls and is set to face sentencing in June. She potentially faces life behind bars.

In a letter to federal Judge Loretta Preska this week, a lawyer for Maxwell stated his client would no longer object to the identities of the “John Does” in a 2015 civil lawsuit brought against Maxwell by Prince Andrew accuser, Aussie-based Virginia Roberts Giuffre, according to the New York Post.

“After careful review of the detailed objections submitted by Non-Party Does 17, 53, 54, 55, 73, 93, and 151, counsel for Ghislaine Maxwell writes to inform the Court that she does not wish to further address those objections,” said the January 12 letter, signed by Laura Menninger.

The Post reports the letter was written the same day that a Manhattan federal court judge refused to dismiss Giuffre’s case against Prince Andrew.

Maxwell’s trial and conviction for assisting Epstein – who hanged himself in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial – exposed a murky world of sex trafficking among the rich and powerful.

The Oxford-educated daughter of the late British press baron Robert Maxwell, who grew up in wealth and privilege and became a friend of British royalty, turned 60 on Christmas, just days before her conviction.

Two of Epstein’s victims said they were as young as 14 when Maxwell began grooming them and arranging for them to give massages to Epstein that ended in sexual activity.

Her lawyers demanded a new trial this month after a juror told a news agency he had helped convict Maxwell by telling fellow jury members about his experience of sexual abuse.

In response, the US government offered to drop two perjury charges linked to claims Maxwell made in a 2016 deposition in a separate civil lawsuit should the sex crimes conviction stand, according to court documents dated January 10.

Each perjury charge carries a maximum five-year prison term.
