Prince Charles has made a major move to repair his fractured relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Prince Charles has invited Harry and Meghan to stay with him in the UK, as part of a desperate bid to repair the royal family’s fractured relationship.

And the Prince of Wales is said to be keen to spend time with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, it’s been reported.

Sources said Prince Charles has opened his home to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – as hasn’t seen Archie since he was six months old, and has never met baby Lilibet, who was born in June, per The Sun.

Prince Charles has offered to bring the family together for the first time since the “Megxit” scandal, the Mirror reports.

Charles, Harry and Meghan have held a series of “good-natured and enjoyable” video calls over the past few months.

It came as Prince Harry said he’s desperate to bring his children home to the UK – but feels it’s too dangerous for the family without formal police protection.

His offers to pay for around-the-clock officers — normally reserved for royals and Government officials — have been rejected as he’s now a private citizen.

The Duke of Sussex is understood to have told his family he’d return for a memorial service for Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey, which is planned for April.

QUEEN ‘WON’T CAVE IN TO DEMANDS’

The Queen is not amused by Prince Harry’s threats to sue the UK government for private police bodyguards.

The monarch will reportedly refuse to step in to support her grandson’s legal action against the MET police, believed to be the first of its kind.

“This is not a matter for Her Majesty. She certainly won’t cave in to his demands. a royal source told The Sun.

“It is a matter for Her Majesty’s government. Who gets protection is not a gift the Queen can decide to give or take away.”

Another source said Prince Harry’s security was not being discussed within the Royal family as the issue was dealt with two years ago when the Duke of Sussex became a private citizen living in California.

“Quite frankly, with the Queen’s health concerns and Prince Andrew facing a sex-abuse trial, a battle between her grandson and the Government is the last thing she wants to get drawn into,” the source said.

The “appalling” timing for the queen was blasted by Piers Morgan, who slammed Prince Harry’s “brazen double standards”.

The British media personality – who has been an outspoken critic of the Sussexes – slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to take legal action against the British government after they were stripped of their 24-hour security.

According to a report in The Sun, Morgan criticised the couple for “popping their heads up again” as the Queen continues to deal with the loss of her husband Prince Phillip and Prince Andrew’s legal woes.

Morgan bagged the couple during his first return to British breakfast TV on Sunday local time, saying they should be stripped of their royal titles completely.

It comes after it was revealed Prince Harry wanted to bring his son Archie and baby daughter Lilibet to the UK from the US, but feels his family are “unable to return to his home” because of safety fears, a legal representative for the Sussexes said.

But Morgan said he didn’t understand why Prince Harry thought he was entitled to protection from British police after leaving Britain permanently for the US in 2020.

“It’s absolutely chillingly inevitable these two would pop their heads up again right when the Queen least wants them to,” Morgan said on the BBC’s Sunday Morning show.

“I feel so sorry for the Queen. It’s her Platinum Jubilee coming,” he said.

“The timing of it so appalling.”

“She’s lost her husband, she’s got this awful situation with Andrew, and now her grandson who has been baiting the royal family and the monarchy all year has now popped up from his mansion in California to say that when he comes back to the UK he wants to have the British police protect him.

“Sorry mate, that’s now how this works … I don’t give a damn if he’s paying for it or not.

“Why should the British police protect him? He’s now a private citizen. He doesn’t do any royal duties,” Morgan said.

“They’re making hundreds of millions of dollars fleecing their royal titles, which they still have while simultaneously trashing the royal family and the institution of the monarchy that his grandmother is the head of.

“Now they want to have cake and eat it as always. I wouldn’t let them have royal titles. It’s a brazen double standard. If you want royal titles, do royal duties.”

It is the latest barb in a long-running feud between Morgan and the Sussexes.

Morgan left his role as a host of Good Morning Britain in March last year after he said he “didn’t believe a word” Meghan Markle said to Oprah Winfrey about her mental health struggles.

The controversial legal move by Prince Harry is thought to be the first time a member of the royal family has brought a case against the British government.

The Queen is understood to have been made aware of Prince Harry’s action, which could lead to a High Court battle if the case proceeds.

Prince Harry is now arguing his private protection team in the US does not have access to UK intelligence information which is needed to keep his wife, Meghan Markle, and children safe.

The legal representative for the Duke said in a statement: “The UK will always be Prince Harry’s home and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in.

“With the lack of police protection, comes too great a personal risk.”

It comes after an incident in London in 2021 when Prince Harry’s security was compromised after his car was chased by paparazzi photographers as he left a charity event.

The Duke of Sussex wants to fund the security himself, rather than ask taxpayers to foot the bill after he stepped down as a senior member of the royal family, but Britain’s Home Office has denied his request.

The representative said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed while in the UK.

“In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home.”

The legal representative added: “Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life. He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats.

“While his role within the Institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.”
