A protester who allegedly kicked a police horse at an anti-lockdown rally last week has been arrested.

Police arrested the woman, 29, on Sunday after executing search warrants across Melbourne.

The woman, from Werribee, has been charged with animal cruelty and was released on bail.

Meanwhile another man, who also attended Friday’s protest, has been charged after he allegedly damaged a police car.

The man, 24, is alleged to have smashed a car-side mirror and has been charged with criminal damage, hinder police, intimidate a police officer and possess cannabis.

He was also released on bail.

Both protesters will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 23.

Detectives are still hunting a number of other offenders, including a masked man who hit “several” police horses with a flagpole.

Another man is wanted after a police hat was stolen.

Victoria Police spokesperson Alex Day asked anyone who recognises the alleged offenders to come forward.

Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
