Wild brawl breaks out at Manor Lakes Central shopping centre

Eight teens have been charged over a wild brawl at a Manor Lakes shopping centre last month, with knives and frying pans were used in the fight.

Nine males have been charged following an alleged affray and stabbing in Manor Lakes earlier this year. 

It is believed a group of about 10 males were involved in a brawl at a Ballan Rd shopping centre when one male sustained suspected stab wounds to the upper body about 6.30pm on January 13.

The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged offender left the scene and was confronted by a group of males when he allegedly received suspected stab wounds to his lower body and was assaulted with a frying pan.

The 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 16-year-old boy was charged on January 14 but a further eight males have since been arrested and were on February 17 charged with offences, including affray, violent disorder, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and weapons offences.

Three adults have been charged, including two 18-year-old Wyndham Vale men and an 18-year-old Fitzroy man.

They have all been bailed to appear at the Werribee Magistrates’ Court.

Six youths have also been charged, including two 17-year-old boys, three 16-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy.

They have all been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
