Annie Nolan, wife of former Bulldogs Premiership player Liam Picken, has gone to desperate lengths in order to find her missing pooch.

Fifteen-year-old Pomeranian, Jerry, went missing in December last year after being taken from her parents’ home in Central Ballarat.

Now, the popular blogger, has gotten herself a billboard on Mair Street, Ballarat as a last-ditch effort to find Jerry.

“I had exhausted all options of finding him,” Ms Nolan said.

“I had put out Facebook ads and had pretty much done everything that I could.”

“Then I watched the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and it gave me the inspiration I needed.

“I think having something there makes people know they are desperate to find their dog.”

The tiny Pomeranian went missing from the family’s Eyre Street home at around 3pm on December 18.

Jerry was playing out the front of Ms Nolan’s parents’ house with the other family dogs when he slid under the fence-line.

According to a woman driving by, Jerry was scooped up by a bearded man who said he knew the owners.

This isn’t the first time a family pet in the Nolan household had been stolen with the family cat also being pinched in the past.

Ms Nolan believes this may be a bit of a problem within the Ballarat area.

“It’s obviously an issue in Ballarat,” Ms Nolan said.

“Now we can’t risk our animals even being outside and my parents can’t trust having animals on their property at all because they just keep being taken.”

Jerry’s best fur-friend Bob has also felt the pinch, whose health was deteriorating since Jerry went missing – missing his old friend.

“He got so lonely, that his health declined,” Ms Nolan said.

“There are photos on my animals page on Instagram and there’s a video of how sick he got.”

However, Ms Nolan and her husband, Picken, took Bob in since and has since begun to improve.

The billboard has already paid some minor dividends as people have gotten in contact every time they see a Pomeranian but has had no luck finding specifically Jerry.

“If someone has well and truly stolen my dog, I’m hoping that it makes them feel uncomfortable about taking my dog out,” Ms Nolan said.
