Alarming dashcam footage has captured the moment an elderly man rode his mobility scooter along the Monash Freeway.
Cars, buses and trucks flew past as the 92-year-old man as he travelled down the 100km/h stretch of the freeway at 16km/h.
A good Samaritan, Bruce, captured the footage on his dashcam, calling triple-0 and selflessly following behind the scooter with his hazard lights on to protect the man from traffic.

Bruce’s attempts to encourage the man to pull over were rebuffed with a sharp reply: “F--- off!”.
The man entered the freeway at Blackburn Rd and was pulled over by police just before the Springvale Rd exit.
The video was posted on Facebook’s Dashcam Owners Australia page.
Victoria Police confirmed the 92-year-old man had been reported missing on Monday, a short time before he was intercepted by police.
Officers took him to Glen Waverley police station where he was reunited with his family.
