“Six years ago we set out to build a new members stand that would not only celebrate the incredible rich heritage and character of the VRC, but would evolve the race day experience and change the expectations of racegoers forever.
“The vision is realised, the game changing moment has arrived, and we are thrilled to officially open the world-class $128 million Club Stand to members this AAMI Victoria Derby Day.”
Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador Kirsten Clemens got a sneak peek of the stand’s roof garden ahead of the opening.
“The views are absolutely phenomenal. The city looks amazing and the track views are stunning too,” she says.
Housing two permanent bars and two permanent food outlets complemented by a stylish garden setting, the roof garden is designed to be enjoyed during race days and for private functions.
The official media launch at 10.30am will be followed by an intimate black tie dinner on Thursday hosted by Mrs Elliott on the rooftop.
