Real estate agents from far-reaching corners of the state say property is being snapped up by Melburnians ready for a change of scene.

This block is seriously cheap, even by Kerang standards, according to Graeme Hayes Real Estate agent Nathan Hipworth. He said Melburnians were eyeing off the block, which is across the road from the northern town’s showgrounds, and some buyers were keen to pay a deposit sight unseen. You wouldn’t be the only one moving close to the NSW border – Mr Hipworth said there had been about 20 homes built nearby in the past year.
