An angry Nabil Maghnie has walked out of Spencer St police station without charge after being arrested earlier today.

Maghnie was arrested at his Bundoora home this morning by detectives from the Sector Taskforce, a specialist police team investigating three high profile murders.

The arrest of Maghnie comes after a day of raids connected to the double fatal Love Machine nightclub drive-by shootings in April and the alleged murder of Tony Mokbel associate Mitat Rasimi at Dandenong in March.

Maghnie emerged from the police station about 10am, warning media to turn their cameras off, and saying he didn’t even know Mitat Rasimi had been killed.

“Not at all, I didn’t even know he was dead,” he told media when asked if he knew why Rasimi was murdered.

“I’ve got no f---en clue” he said of the Sector Taskforce arrests over the past 24 hours.

He told media to “f--k off” when asked why police were at his house and refused to comment on what he was questioned about this morning.

About 10 police, including plain clothes detectives, are currently at Maghnie’s home.

A witness told the Herald Sun they are paying close attention to a car at the property.

“I just saw them drilling parts off the inside of a car,” said the witness.

There are several unmarked cars parked outside his Bundoora address.

He was taken to Crime Command Headquarters in Spencer St and was in custody for several hours.

One man was yesterday charged with the murder of Mr Rasimi and another arrested was released.

Maghnie has been on bail for months over serious driving charges.

More to come.
