Uber introduces new guidelines for passengers and riders including no sex, no personal questions and spilling food in cars

UBER has banned sex and flirting in its cars, and warns passengers slamming car doors, vomiting during a ride or talking too loud on their phone could be booted off the ridesharing app.

UberAir revealed

UBER is threatening to ban passengers who slam car doors, flirt with riders and drivers, have sex during the ride, fail to clean up their mess and use the cars as drug runners.

Drivers also face tighter guidelines or face being of stripped of their accreditation including cancelling trips, refusing to take passengers based on race and safer driving.

On the hit list for passengers includes talking too loud on the phone, having sex or flirting in the car, asking the driver to break road rules and vomiting from too much alcohol.

“We want Uber to be enjoyable and safe for everyone. These ground rules are designed to ensure that riders and drivers have a five star ride when using Uber,” new guidelines say.

“Most important of all, remember that when you use Uber you will meet people who may look different or think differently from you. Please respect those differences. We want everyone to feel welcome when they use Uber.

“As a passenger, if you need to make a phone call keep your voice down to avoid disturbing your driver or other riders.”

The tech transportation giant’s new requirements start from September 19.

Riders who dip below the average rating will be warned several times before being booted off the app for six months.

Passengers need to keep a rating above four — out of five — to keep access to the rideshare app.

Other guidelines which could see a passenger lose their rating include allowing children to ride unsupervised, damaging a driver’s car, intentionally spilling food or drink and making aggressive, sexual, discriminatory, or disrespectful comments or gestures.

Drivers are being warned to drive safely, be courteous and professional and to use a phone mount.

Speeding fines, complaints about erratic driving and trying to do “cash jobs” would see a driver kicked off the platform.

The changes aimed at passengers have arisen after drivers made complaints about issues that stressed them out.

Uber says the guidelines are important because drivers not only ferry around passengers but also use their own car and reveal who they are to passengers.
