Two teenagers, one aged 14, have led police on a wild chase across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, ramming a police vehicle and hitting speeds of 250km/h before being arrested in an allegedly stolen car packed with machetes and knives.

Two teenagers, one aged 14, have led police on a wild chase, hitting speeds of 250km/h before being arrested after ramming a police vehicle in an allegedly stolen car full of machetes.
The incident began when police approached a vehicle they believed may have been stolen in the carpark of a fast food outlet on Manchester Rd in Mooroolbark in Melbourne’s east.
Spotting the police, the driver of the white Infinity sedan took off, ramming the police car as they made their escape.
The car was followed by a police helicopter, allegedly hitting speeds of up to 250km/h as it made its way into Melbourne’s CBD.
The vehicle was dumped in Bourke St about 1.10am Monday and four occupants ran off.
The dog squad was called in and the two teenagers were found nearby and arrested.
The other two occupants of the vehicle remain on the run.
A search of the car found several machetes and knives.
A 14-year-old boy was expected to be interviewed by detectives on Monday morning, police said in a statement.
A 17-year-old was released after being charged with a possessing a drug of dependence.
The white Infiniti sedan was allegedly stolen from a gym in Box Hill South around 6:30pm on Sunday.
No police officers were injured during the ramming and the investigation into the high speed pursuit remains ongoing.
