Two men bashed, one stabbed in separate incidents in Mornington, Shepparton overnight

A man is speaking to police over an incident where two brothers were bashed in a Mornington carpark.
It comes after their mother shared pictures of her sons from their hospital beds.
Amanda Kilner Higgins says her sons Lochie and Rueben were “both king hit early this morning” in the Coles carpark.

She posted pictures of the two men on social media and pleaded for public assistance in identifying the perpetrators.
The two men were allegedly assaulted in the Mornington car park after an altercation with a group of men about 3am.
The alleged offenders fled the Railway Grove car park in an unidentified car.
A 20-year-old Mount Martha man suffered injuries to his upper body and is in a serious condition. A Mornington boy, 17, was also hurt.
Both were taken to The Alfred hospital.
In unrelated incident, a man was stabbed in Shepparton early this morning.
The 48-year-old man returned to his home in Johnson St about 5.15am after suffering stab wounds.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with injuries to his upper and lower body.
It is not yet known how he sustained the stab wounds, and police are investigating.
Police say a 28-year-old Lyndhurst man attended a police station and is speaking to Mornington detectives.
