A truck driver is facing drug-related charges over a horror crash which killed and seriously injured members of a young family on the Victorian border.
A 31-year-old truck driver from Mooroopna has been charged with 15 serious offences including exceeding the prescribed concentration of drugs following a head-on crash which killed Amanda Kilmister, 37, and her 12-year-old son, Harrison, on the Murray Valley Highway in Brimin about 9.30pm on November 2.
FAMILY DEVASTATED BY TRAGIC DEATHS
Ms Kilmister’s husband, Paul, and children, Morgan, 2, and Austin, 8 months old, were flown to hospital with critical injuries.
The driver has also been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, negligently causing serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury and reckless conduct endangering life and serious injury.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on March 14, 2019.
