Tributes are flowing for an inspirational young Melbourne mum who passed away after a brave battle with bowel cancer.

Nicole Cooper, wife of Tim and mum of their six year-old son Josh, died on Tuesday almost six years on from her devastating stage 4 diagnosis.

Her final heartbreaking words were used as the caption on pictures of her in a hospital bed surrounded by family.

“When it comes to wrapping up, cancer is not the thing I want to sign out on,’’ she penned.

“Cancer is not the thing “wrapping up” this family.

“Because actually, the stuff that matters is the stuff that we have built together for each of us: the shared respect, joy, compelling and insightful commitment, and unwavering authenticity to the real nuts and bolts of being alive.

“It’s the fragility of this, the incomparable everythingness, the preparedness to take every risk for this group, to truly declare that living in my most scared and vulnerable and weak and wonderful was worth it all.

“Because I got to do it with all of you.

“That is the purpose of things.

“That is what I wrap up from.

“And that is what I know you all are just beginning to champion for us, for every day, for evermore.”

Judd said on Wednesday that Cooper was the bravest and most inspiring person she knew.

“Heaven got a QUEEN. Rest easy my love,’’ Bec posted.

“I’m so proud to be your friend and so privileged to have shared so many great times with you. I’ll open my arms and cuddle Josh hard, just like you’d do, for all the days to come. RIP @nicolecoopy.”

Cooper, who had at one time gone into remission, used her platform to help others and beautifully documented her fight through treatment and surgeries.

She created a Facebook page called Project Nicole, was writing a book and had started a podcast. She was a writer, speaker, consultant, advocate and fundraiser.

She had posted pictures with her family over Christmas but the next day had been admitted to hospital after a rapid decline with pneumonia.

“I am a huge advocate of living each day for the joy it can deliver,’’ she wrote.

“For all of us. We just don’t know what’s going to happen next.”

Many in Cooper’s community paid tribute to her along with well known names including Livina Nixon, Jerri Jones, Lana Wilkinson, Michelle Greene and Sarita Holland.
