Train, road disruptions as transport blitz begins
Victorian commuters will be struck by mass transport disruptions, with road and rail networks to undergo a construction blitz this month.

Commuters are being warned of mass disruptions on Melbourne’s road and rail networks this month as the state government undertakes a pre-summer construction blitz.
Works on projects including the North East Link, the West Gate Tunnel and eight level crossing removals will have a major impact on travel around the city.

RAIL DISRUPTIONS
Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
Buses will be replacing trains between Westall, Pakenham and Cranbourne stations from Saturday, November 20 to Thursday, November 25.
Buses will replace trains between Caulfield and Pakenham stations from 9pm each night from Monday, November 22 to Thursday, November 25.
Echuca line
Coaches are replacing trains between Bendigo and Echuca stations until Tuesday, November 30.
Frankston and Stony Point lines
Buses are replacing trains between Mordialloc, Frankston and Stony Point stations until Sunday, November 21.
Geelong line
Buses will be replacing trains between Geelong/South Geelong and Waurn Ponds stations from Saturday, November 27 to Sunday, December 12.
Lilydale line
Buses are replacing trains between Ringwood and Lilydale stations until Tuesday, November 16.
Mernda line
Buses will be replacing trains from Parliament/Clifton Hill and Reservoir stations from Tuesday, November 30 to Thursday, December 2.
Warrnambool line
Coaches will be replacing trains between Geelong and Warrnambool stations from Saturday, November 27 to Sunday, December 12.
Williamstown line
Buses are replacing trains between Newport and Williamstown stations until Friday, December 10.
ROAD DISRUPTIONS
Monash Freeway
An inbound lane will be closed, with rough surface warnings and speed restrictions, between Stud Rd and Wellington Rd throughout November.
At night, there will be lane and freeway closures inbound between Stud Rd and Warrigal Rd during November.
The ramps at Jacksons Rd and Huntingdale Rd will be closed on weekends in November.
Mornington Peninsula Freeway
The left-turn entry lane from Springvale Rd is closed until Sunday, November 21.
M80 Ring Road, Thomastown
The Greensborough-bound entry ramp on Sydney Rd will be closed from 9pm Friday, November 19 until 5am Monday, November 22.
The Hume Freeway to the M80 Ring Road Greensborough-bound ramp will be closed from 9pm Friday, November 26 until 5am Monday, November 29.
Greensborough-bound lanes will be closed between Edgars Rd and Dalton Rd overnight on Wednesday, November 24.
The Greensborough-bound exit ramp on Edgars Rd will be closed from 9pm Wednesday, November 24 until 5am Monday, November 29.
West Gate Freeway
Drivers should be aware of inbound lane changes between the Williamstown Rd exit and entry ramps until early 2022.
Outbound lane changes will also occur between Williamstown Rd and Millers Rd until early 2022.
