Tobacco store in Braybrook target of ram raid
A tobacco store in Melbourne’s west has been significantly damaged after being targeted in an early morning ram raid as police hunt for the offenders.

A tobacco store in Braybook in Melbourne’s west has been targeted in a ram raid.
The roller screen door and front of the Churchill Ave shop were significantly damaged in the attack, which occurred just after 2am Monday.
Nobody is thought to have been hurt in the raid, and the alleged offenders fled the scene before police arrived.
It was unclear early in the investigation whether the incident was linked to the ongoing tobacco wars which have plagued Melbourne over the past year and a half.
“Police are investigating a ram-raid in Braybrook on 29 July,” a police spokeswoman said.
“It is believed a vehicle drove into a tobacco store on Churchill Ave just after 2am.
“The vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
