Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers

Avid readers of the Source would not be surprised by the resignation of Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp.

Nine months ago, the column predicted that Capp would leave, citing well-placed sources who said Capp “has been making no secret of the fact she doesn’t intend to run for re-election”.

At the time, the Source item was mercilessly mocked by some Town Hall people.

Capp will finish up, with “mixed emotions”, in June.
