Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers.
Car crash MP Tim Smith has defended politician Barnaby Joyce’s drunken street siesta.
Smith leapt to Barnaby’s honour in response to a comment on X which said Joyce should “do everyone a favour and quit parliament without delay.”
The post added: “How long must we endure this debasement of our politics by a man so utterly unworthy of public trust and responsibility?”
Joyce has apologised over an incident, which was captured on video, of him lying on a Canberra footpath and swearing into his phone.
Joyce blamed the embarrassing episode on alcohol and prescription drugs.
Cue ousted Victorian MP Smith.
“Hello, what about Bob Hawke’s behaviour?” Smith said on X. “Can we all accept that politicians are human, and sometimes make personal mistakes?”
Of course, former Liberal MP Smith made a doozy mistake once. In 2021, he drunk-drove his Jaguar into a Hawthorn home, putting a screeching halt to his political career.
Capper takes aim at Musk
Footy legend turned brothel owner Warwick Capper says his sex business is being discriminated against by the social media platform now known as X.
Capper, who took ownership of an Oakleigh bordello three months ago, has slammed entrepreneur and X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk for shutting down the accounts of his sex palace, Westminster Secrets.
Capper’s business account has been removed from the social media platform three times since October.
The former Sydney Swans superstar says despite the new laws in Victoria that decriminalise adult work and level the playing field for brothels as legitimate businesses, X is still in the dark ages.
He says the purged accounts simply reposted images and information about his workers.
“All we post are rosters and reshare our teams’ selfies at work (no nudity or smutty language),” Capper said. “Elon Musk shouldn’t ... discriminate against adult services.
Capper, 60, plans to open up a new brothel every year.
