Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers.
TV tradie Scott Cam has replied to Andy Lee’s SOS call for a renovation rescue.
Lee, a popular TV presenter and podcaster, cheekily asked for Cam’s assistance on a sad ceiling at his $8m Hawthorn mansion.
Lee and his partner, model Rebecca Harding, are planning $5m worth of renovations at the riverside manor on Yarra Grove.
However, Lee revealed gaping holes in the ceiling of one room, with the rafter doubling as a home for wildlife squatters.
“Back at the house today,” Lee posted on Instagram a few weeks back.
“It seems the ceiling might need a little bit of patchwork but the rest is perfectly ready to be lived in. Just ask any of the pigeons and possums.”
Nine’s public relations boss Victoria Buchan commented on the wrecked roof with: “Big job.”
Lee replied: “Can you lend us Scotty Cam?”
Buchan replied that The Block foremen Keith Schleiger and Dan Reilly were “a better deal”.
Cam, who is The Block host, told The Source: “Firstly, Andy’s got to fix the hole in the roof.
That hole is causing all that mess. Once he’s done that, he can rip that ceiling out and start again.
“If you do get a hold of Andy Lee,” Cam said with a grin, “tell him he’s on his own.”
Boroondara council is set to approve the plans to transform the derelict mansion the couple bought for $8m in 2021.
Their plans include a big outdoor entertainment terrace.
