A WOMAN was allegedly threatened with a machete in Tarneit as part of a series of frightening crimes in Melbourne’s west, with Victoria Police arresting a teenager today.

A TEENAGER has been arrested over a series of frightening crimes in Melbourne’s west, including an aggravated burglary where a woman was allegedly menaced with a machete.
The 18-year-old man was detained at a home in Melbourne’s west this morning, to be questioned over the August 17 incident at Tarneit, police said.
The teen is also alleged to have been involved in three robberies at Hoppers Crossing and St Albans dating back to September 2.

Electronic devices were seized during a search today.
A 17-year-old boy was charged in relation to the Tarneit burglary earlier this month.
