A Taylor Swift tribute act has put out a Swifties SOS after claming an airline accidentally redirected their Tay Tay tailorings to Melbourne.
Singing siblings Ella and Sienna McClean travelled from Adelaide to Sydney last weekend for Swift’s Era concert, and wore the costumes that shimmer and shine in their tribute show.
However, on the eve of their Swift salute opening at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the duo has suffered a style setback after they claimed Virgin Australia mistakenly sent the sisters’ costumes to Melbourne.
An upset Ella, whose gold Bella Barnett dress is sitting in limbo at Tullamarine, claimed Virgin wants the sisters to pay $400 to have the lost luggage couriered to Adelaide.
In desperation, Ella and Sienna turned to social media for Swiftie assistance.
“My luggage was at Melbourne Airport including this gold dress,” Ella said on Instagram. “I’m performing at Adelaide Fringe THIS THURSDAY and I desperately need it! Does anyone have the same dress that I can borrow?”
She also floated a plan B.
“We’re trying to find someone who’s flying Melbourne to Adelaide (on Wednesday or Thursday) so I can wear it for the opening night as planned.”
But Virgin Australia has denied Ella’s claims saying the costumes were in a carry-on bag that was left on board by a guest on a flight from Canberra to Melbourne.
The airline said it did not lose or mistakenly redirect the bag.
As the bag was left behind by the guest, they would need to cover the cost of couriering the luggage to Adelaide.
Ella and Sienna featured on the reality singing show, The Voice Australia, last year.
They made it into the top six and were coached by Rita Ora.
