Coalition leader Matthew Guy will order the shut down of Richmond’s safe injecting room within his first week of governing if he is elected this Saturday.

Releasing his plan for the first 100 days of a Coalition Government, Mr Guy said he would defund the controversial facility within the first few days of coming to government.

He said in the first 100 days he would enshrine in legislation protection of CFA volunteers, introduce mandatory minimum sentences, start his plan to provide half-priced energy efficient TVs for low income families and establish a population commission.

WAS THIS OUR MOST BENT POLITICIAN?

He will also start a review of the school curriculum to get rid of “unnecessary content”.

He said once the government funding of the safe injecting facility was cut, it could be shut down within days.

Mr Guy said he did not believe the North Richmond facility - which allows users to inject methamphetamines - should be next to a school.

“I wouldn’t want it to be next to my son’s school, so I don’t think it should be next to anyone else’s”.

But he said the Coalition would not move the facility and instead scrap the program all together.

“We want to put in place mechanisms to support people on drugs. We want to get people off drugs.”

Mr Guy said he would establish a Victorian trade mission in Jerusalem within 100 days of becoming Premier.

Indonesia reacted angrily when Prime Minister Scott Morrison flagged a proposal to move Australia’s Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

But Mr Guy said any international tension the move could provoke was not his concern.

“I just want to make sure Victoria is getting into an area where we are seeing great growth,

“What we are seeing in terms of start ups and digital economy is incredible in Jerusalem. “Anyone who wants to draw international politics into that debate can do that themselves but I’m not interested.”

He said he would start a Parliamentary investigation into Labor’s Red Shirts rorts affairs within the first month of coming to office and start planning on his proposal to remove 55 road intersections.
