Soccer fans charged this week over a wild post-game brawl have been banned from attending Saturday night’s A-League grand final.
The four were arrested and charged on Tuesday by police investigating the chaos in Richmond which erupted after a Melbourne Victory versus Melbourne City derby.
Men fought and bar stools were thrown near G Bar on Swan St during the February 22 confrontation.
Detectives from Yarra CIU on Tuesday carried out two warrants at Hallam and one each at Seaford, Cranbourne East and Clyde North.
Four men were later charged with violent disorder and affray.
They are a Hallam man, 24, a Botanic Ridge man, 29, a Cranbourne East man, 29, and a Frankston man, 21.
The men were granted bail on condition they attend no A-League games, ruling them out of the Victory-City decider at AAMI Park.
A 29-year-old Seaford man was arrested and released pending further inquiries, police said.
Those charged will appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 4.
A 27-year-old man from Botanic Ridge was charged after being arrested near the scene on the night.
He will face court on July 14.
“Further arrests are expected,” a Victoria Police statement said.
