Snake in carpark shock for Greensborough Plaza shoppers

Shoppers received a fright when they discovered a surprise stock-snake sale in the underground carpark at a plaza in Melbourne’s north.

Shoppers received a surprise when they discovered a stock-snake sale in the underground carpark at Greensborough Plaza.

An eastern tiger snake was spotted slithering between cars at the shopping centre, in Melbourne’s northeast, this afternoon.

The snake eventually hid inside an electrical cupboard.

Snake Hunter Mark Pelley was called to capture the creature just after 12pm.

Mr Pelley said it was the first time he been called to get a snake from a shopping centre.

He said centre management did a good job keeping cars and customers away from the area while he arrived to collect it.
