A singer who moved to Australia for a better life was tragically killed when an alleged erratic driver crashed into his vehicle in Diggers Rest.

A talented singer and actor who moved to Australia for a better life was tragically killed by an alleged erratic driver in Melbourne’s northwest.
Nirvair Singh died when a car, allegedly driving erratically, smashed into his vehicle on Bulla-Diggers Rest Rd in Diggers Rest about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A 23-year-old Wallan man and a 26-year-old Sunbury woman were arrested at the scene.
The pair were taken to the Alfred Hospital after suffering from minor injuries.
The man was charged with multiple offences including dangerous driving causing death and the woman remained in hospital under police guard on Wednesday night.
Friend Harpreet Singh Marwaha told the Herald Sun that Mr Singh moved to Australia from India for a “better life”.
“He was a very dear friend and a kind human being,” he said.
“He always had a smile on his face and ready to help anyone in need.”
Mr Marwaha said his friend of nine years worked in the Punjabi music industry and was trying to pursue a singing career in Melbourne.
Some of Mr Singh’s most popular songs include Darda a Dil, Je Russgi, Ferrari Dream and Hikk Thok Ke.
Friends and family paid tribute to the father-of-two on social media, remembering Mr Singh as a “beautiful soul”.
“May God protect his young, beautiful soul and give his family and friends the courage to go through this incredibly difficult time,” Gagan Shorey said.
“Gone too soon,” Sumit Khurmi said.
“May god provide courage to your loved ones to go through this tough time.
“Still can’t believe it.”
Police said the investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing.
