Simone Callahan says yoga has transformed her — and now she’s teaching it

SHANE Warne’s ex-wife, Simone Callahan, turned to yoga to help her through troubled times and now she says she is in a happier, more peaceful place.

SHANE Warne’s ex-wife, Simone Callahan, has transformed her life and her body through yoga.

But while she says it’s made her relationship with the cricketing great more peaceful there will be no reconciliation and she is happy being single.

“I got into yoga about 15 years ago, when I started going through stuff with Shane and I wasn’t really coping,” Callahan said.

“I’d see pictures of yogis and I’d think they look so at peace, they look well and healthy and that’s what attracted me. It’s a sanctuary ... it instils a lot of good in you through the poses and the shifting of energy and not holding on to stuff.”

Callahan, 48, said the physical and spiritual practice had allowed her to let go of the hurt of marriage breakdown to form a long-lasting friendship with Warne.

She says the physical and spiritual practice has helped her become happier and more content — as a single mum.

Callahan currently teaches six days a week and hopes to open her own studio.
