THE investigation into sexual harassment allegations against Robert Doyle will continue into a fifth week as the Melbourne Lord Mayor responds to the latest claims to an official inquiry.

Cr Doyle’s legal team is still yet to see the detail of the latest allegations, made by a woman attending a Royal Melbourne Hospital black-tie function in 2016.

The unnamed woman, who was attending the dinner with her medical specialist husband, has alleged that Cr Doyle, who was attending as Melbourne Health chairman, rubbed her thigh and made inappropriate comments — claims the Lord Mayor strenuously denies.

Cr Doyle is expected to respond to the claims at the inquiry once he sees the content of the official complaint.

Other complaints submitted to Ian Freckelton, QC, who is conducting the probe on behalf of the City of Melbourne, will also be assessed in the coming days.

Dr Freckelton’s original review was into claims by former Team Doyle member Tessa Sullivan that Cr Doyle sexually harassed and indecently assaulted her.

Ms Sullivan quit council on December 15. Her dossier of complaint triggered the official investigation into the Lord Mayor’s conduct.

Cr Cathy Oke has also claimed she was harassed.

The hospital dinner accusations will also be examined by a second inquiry, being run by George Scerri, QC, who was appointed by Health Minister Jill Hennessy.

It is believed the two QCs will liaise on some materials, to prevent duplication.
