Superstar singer Robbie Williams has urged Australians to join a national call to action and get a heart test in the wake of Shane Warne’s suspected death from a heart attack.

Not-for-profit group Shane Warne Legacy will on Tuesday unveil details of how anyone in Australia can get a free, four-minute heart test at pharmacies around the nation.

“Angels” crooner Williams led a chorus of calls urging Aussies to get behind the campaign to provide 500,000 free Shane Warne Legacy Heart Tests in the next year.

“I’m inviting you – the Australian public – to get behind the Shane Warne Legacy and to have a crack at getting a free, four minute heart test,’’ Williams said in the video.

“All you have to do is find a test near you and visit Shanewarnelegacy.com.

“What are you waiting for – go check it out today and book your test.

“I get it done all the time.’’

The Herald Sun last week revealed thousands of “Shane Warne Legacy Heart Tests’’ would be available at 23 stations in and outside the MCG during the first four days of the Boxing Day Test.

Now, 23,000 free national heart screenings honouring Warne will made available nationwide by the end of this year, with a long-term goal of a free test for every Australian aged over 40.

Warne’s friend and former teammate Justin Langer and star DJ Havana Brown also produced video messages backing the health push.

Langer said: “Our great friend, the incomparable Shane Warne left us way too early … something good has to come out of Shane leaving us.’’

Warne’s shock death in Thailand in March 2022 sparked a 62 per cent increase in heart checks among Australians in the next 10 months.

It is hoped the new self-serve, medical grade health tests focusing on cardiovascular health

awareness and risk have a similar uptake.

They incorporate blood pressure, heart rate, body mass index, diabetes risk, diabetes status and more.
