DISGRACED AFL player agent Ricky Nixon has boasted on social media after police dropped a probe into claims of offensive online behaviour.

Police arrested the 52-year-old in Port Melbourne on December 1 over accusations he posted a photo of a young girl on Facebook with the comment: “Next f---”.

On December 3, he was accused of kicking “St Kilda schoolgirl” Kim Duthie during a Melbourne Magistrates’ Court hearing about his controversial memoir, My Side.

But today Nixon took to social media to declare that both investigations had come to a close.

“Police confirmed today that the matter is at an end and there is nothing to answer,” he said regarding the alleged courtroom incident.

“Oh and they also confirmed that the matter involving a FB comment to a hater is also at an end with nothing to answer to”.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Natalie Webster said in a statement that detectives had concluded their investigation into inappropriate comments made against a photograph of a child posted on social media late last year.

“During the course of the investigation a 52-year-old Port Melbourne man was arrested, interviewed and released pending further enquiries. A search warrant was also executed at a residence on Bay St Port Melbourne.

“All available evidence has been assessed and a determination has been made that a successful prosecution is not likely. As a result, and unless further information comes to hand, the investigation has concluded and no person will be charged,” she said.

The Herald Sun is seeking comment as to whether the assault investigation has been withdrawn.
