SHE is not even part of the cast yet, but drama has engulfed Venus Behbahani-Clark, the fashionable woman tipped as the frontrunner to join the new series of The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
Police are investigating after Behbahani-Clark and her sister Rebcca were confronted by a disgruntled former friend at the home of a family member in Ringwood on Tuesday.
It is believed the sisters were dining with seven relatives when the woman allegedly arrived at the house and made disturbing comments, and refused to leave.
Police yesterday confirmed that officers had attended the home.
“Statements were taken in relation to allegations of stalking and assault,’’ a police spokesperson said.
“Intervention order applications have been made by police on behalf of two alleged victims and criminal investigations are ongoing.’’
Behbahani-Clark declined to comment on the incident yesterday.
Foxtel would not comment on Real Housewives casting.
Behbahani-Clark, a lawyer and entrepreneur, is one of the favourites to join the Foxtel reality show, known for the over the top behaviour of the cast, its love of glitz, catfights, drama and cosmetic enhancements.
Behbahani-Clark’s husband James has been referring to himself as Lord on his social media page, a title that it is understood was purchased rather than inherited.
Behbahani has two children from her first marriage.
