Premier Jacinta Allan and Ben Carroll’s offices vandalised by pro-Palestine activists

Activists have targeted Premier Jacinta Allan’s office for a third time this month, with bloodied dolls and fake missiles left on her doorstep in the latest attack.

Premier Jacinta Allan has slammed separate groups of “faceless cowards” after her Bendigo office was attacked for a third time this month.

Two masked thugs were on Monday night caught on camera allegedly smashing the Mollison St office with a hammer before spraying graffiti on the building.

In a separate incident on Tuesday night, pro-Palestine activists left bloodied dolls outside Ms Allan’s office as well as the Niddrie office of deputy Premier Ben Carroll.

The advocacy group “No More Bodies in Gaza” claimed responsibility for the dolls stunt but said they weren’t involved in any other attacks.

Earlier this month, Ms Allan’s office was allegedly targeted by animal activists over her decision to ignore a parliamentary recommendation to ban duck hunting.

Police were called in at the time after two people allegedly threw a brick at her office window multiple times.

It’s unclear who was behind Monday night’s attack or whether it was linked to that same issue.

The dolls left outside of Ms Allan and Mr Carroll’s electorate office represent the thousands of children who have been killed in Gaza, activists say.

The Victorian government has recently faced criticism in parliament over a memorandum of understanding it signed with Israel’s Ministry of a defence in 2022.

Earlier this month, all four Victorian Greens MPs in the lower house were booted from the parliament after they held up signs that accused the Victorian government of “arming Israel”.

Ms Allan on Wednesday morning slammed the “cowards” who attacked her office, calling on them to “step out from the cover of darkness”.

“Step out of the cover of darkness and have your discussions and debates in the daylight with words, not with hammers,” she said.

“This is cowardly behavior. That behaviour is not tolerated.”

Her staffers were not there at the time of the attack.

Mr Carroll, whose office was also defaced, said the “extremism” would only “fuel hatred” and divide the Victorian community.

“I would urge everyone to please be civil, and to remember what makes Victoria such a strong state is our diversity, our harmony,” he said.

Mr Carroll said accusations that the Victorian government had links to Israeli defence manufacturing was “very unfounded and malicious criticism”.

“The most I have seen that Israel and Victoria have in common from a defensive point of view is their exhibitions at the Avalon Airshow,” he said.

It comes after Melbourne City Council independent councillor Jamal Hakim put forward a controversial motion on Tuesday night calling for Israel to commit to a ceasefire.

The motion had attracted dozens of protesters who begun booing outside the Melbourne Town Hall when it was struck down.

Mr Carroll urged the council to focus on roads, rates and rubbish instead.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said Bendigo police are investigating the incidents.

“Police are also investigating whether these incidents are linked to another earlier this month,” she said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
