Is this the photo that disgraced Geelong College principal hoped would never see the light of day?

The grainy image hardcore pornographic image has gone viral on social media.

Barr was forced to tender his resignation after a student reportedly took a photograph of him through a school window and published it on Snapchat, a self-destructing photo and video sharing media site.

The school council investigated Mr Barr’s computer after it was alerted to the fact a photograph was doing the rounds online.

Mr Barr became the principal of Geelong College in 2013 after serving as chair of the peak body representing private schools, The Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia and as a senior staff member at Scotch College and Caulfield Grammar.

The school has yet to find a replacement for Mr Barr despite students returning to the school on Tuesday following the Easter break.

The school declined to confirm whether the image was indeed the one that had led to Mr Barr’s departure from the school.

“We have made a comprehensive disclosure through our statement to the Geelong Advertiser on this complex and sensitive matter,” College Chairman Dr Hugh Seward said.

“We are forever mindful for the welfare of the young Barr family should the matter continue to receive on going media attention.

“In the interests of all who may be further affected, we do not intend to comment further.”

Dr Seward said the school investigation confirmed Mr Barr had not broken any law and “at no point did it affect the care provided to students”.
