Porepunkah shooting live updates: Hunt for Dezi Freeman continues for third day

Police have said they are throwing every “asset” they have at capturing Dezi Freeman — who allegedly shot and killed two police officers at Porepunkah — as two loud bangs were heard close to where heavily armed teams have been searching.

The major manhunt for Dezi Freeman is moving into its third night as police scour dense bush terrain around Porepunkah in Victoria’s High Country.

The manhunt was triggered after Freeman allegedly shot dead two police officers on Tuesday and fled into the bush at a remote farm guarded by motion cameras at Porepunkah in the state’s northeast.
