Pedestrian dies, Eastern Fwy closed after tragic crash
A pedestrian who fell from an overpass has died after being hit by a truck, forcing the closure of all inbound lanes on the Eastern Freeway between Doncaster Rd and Bulleen-Thompsons Rd .

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a truck on the Eastern Freeway this morning.
Police believe a pedestrian fell from an overpass between Doncaster Rd and Bulleen-Thompsons Rd about 9am.
A truck, which was travelling inbound, then struck the pedestrian.
Tragically, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Emergency services, including Victoria Police, remain at the scene this morning.

All lanes of the major road are closed inbound.
VicTraffic is urging drivers to avoid the area and allow extra time.
“Consider using Doncaster Road and Burke Road to return to the Eastern Freeway,” the VicTraffic website states.
