HIGH-FLYING heiress Paris Hilton surprised adoring fans when she jetted into Melbourne for her series of DJ sets.
The former reality television star-turned musician-turned DJ is hosting a series of shows at Crown, and promoting her new fragrance, Gold Rush.
After being whisked from the airport, the 35-year-old was seen out in Melbourne’s CBD at a promotional event at the Garden State Hotel.
Hilton said she was excited to be back in Melbourne.
“I was here for New Years a few years ago over in Sydney ... Melbourne I haven’t been here since I was here for Derby (in 2003) which was a lot of fun.
“I love Australia.”
Hilton will appear tonight at Crown’s Club 23 for a party.
Long-time fan Cameron Booth was one of the few lucky ones to greet her at the airport, saying she stopped to talk and take pictures with all her fans.
“She was incredibly nice, and invited us all to come to Crown for her DJ set,” Mr Booth said.
Hilton had previous trouble getting into Australia after her passport was deemed invalid, but was all cleared up in time for her show at Club 23 Thursday night.
“Not many people knew when she was landing, but I got told last minute when she was arriving. She was very humble and took the time to chat to everyone.” Mr Booth said.
