GENEROUS Victorians have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to victims of Melbourne’s CBD tragedy.
The Bourke St Fund that was set up in the wake of the disaster has now reached $852,000.
The fund includes $100,000 given by both the State and Federal Governments and is expected to continue to grow as grieving Victorians show an outpouring of support.
It comes as victims of the Bourke Street rampage are being urged to apply for compensation to cover hospital, ambulance, counselling and funeral bills.
The Stat Government is reminding Victorians they can apply for financial assistance through existing state compensation schemes through the TAC and WorkSafe Victoria.
Matthew Si, 33, Jess Mudie 22, and 10-year-old Thalia Hakin were all killed on Bourke St when a car ploughed down Bourke St on Friday, hitting scores of victims.
Friends are also mourning the death of a 25-year-old Japanese man and a family has lost a three-month old baby boy.
People who have had loved ones die or injured as well as witnesses are all eligible to receive help.

Minister for Finance Robin Scott urged Victorians need help to contact the TAC or Worksafe Victoria.
“This tragedy has affected many Victorians — and we are doing everything we can to ensure everyone gets the support they need,’’ he said.
“TAC teams attended hospitals over the weekend to provide immediate support to affected families and reassure them that we’ll be with them every step of the way.”
TAC can cover the cost of:
AMBULANCE and hospital care
REHABILITATION services, including physio and psychologists
COUNSELLING for individuals, families and couples
ADDITIONAL medical services, including surgery, pathology and GP visits
PRESCRIBED medication
TRAVEL expenses to and from medical appointments
LOSS of wages
FUNERALS and lump sum payment to dependants.
WorkSafe will provide similar assistance for people who were at work, on their lunch break and were affected by the incident.
Anyone impacted is encouraged to call the TAC as the first point of contact during business hours on 1300 654 329.
